7 Pixel Army is a Generative art piece based on the iconic White Stripes - 7 Nation Army video, directed by Alex Courtes and Martin Fougerol from 2003.

While developing LUTs for a color grading project based on this video, I ran it through a number of processes to simplify the color palettes for analysis. Loving the effect so much, I ran it through the process a number more times tweaking the results to get this distilled beauty of choreographed pixels. The simplified form of its greater whole. The Essenes of what I call 7 Pixel Army by Quantum Variant.

This collection consists of 30 HR stills, 30 4K loops, named after verses in the song.

Isolating the mean color data from the deviations of details and noise to extract just the aesthetic spectrum from the video. Loving the effect so much, I ran it through the process a number more times, layering and tweaking the results to get this distilled beauty of choreographed pixels. The simplified form of its greater whole.
